Sky Blue Radio will be celebrating VA Days the third weekend in January on the 20th, 21st and 22nd, 2012. That weekend Virtual Airlines (VA’s) will have the opportunity to promote their airlines for free! on Sky Blue Radio and can enter to win one year of advertising if selected as the Sky Blue Radio Virtual Airline of the Year!
Airlines must submit their intentions no later than January 17th 2012. If they want SBR to produce their on-air promos they must submit copy no later than January 15th, 2012.
To be considered for Sky Blue Radios VA of the Year. VA’s must submit a one page summary of what makes their VA unique, and how does it best promote the feeling of community within flight simulation. Introducing Nippon Virtual Cargo! Unlike other virtual airlines, Nippon Virtual Cargo does not want to be the largest virtual airline, but rather an organization that offers a home and a place where aviation enthusiasts can join together and communicate, collaborate, and participate in and about aviation.
Nippon Virtual Cargo’s flight schedules correlate to those of the real world. Every tail-number and flight number is relative to the flight number and tail number of each route and aircraft of Nippon Cargo Airlines. The majority of these schedules are about 4+ hours long while there are 2 hour schedules. Operations are directed to the main hub, Narita-Tokyo International Airport, from Alaska, Illinois, New York, and California as well as European and Asian-Pacific cities. Caal Airways Virtual Announcement
Caal Airways has had an excellent October. It recorded over 100 pireps
and continues to grow from strength to strength. All staff positions are now filled with a hard working and dedicated team. We also launched our first Airbus A320 to go along side our fleet of B738 . More A320 will be delivered shortly which should give our VA a fine balance of aircraft and a good variety of choice for our pilots to fly. This months tour is in South Africa and has been designed and hosted by our Belfast Aldergrove hub manager Liam Davis. We will also be holding our first event this month which will be with Vatsim on a short flight frm EGAA to EGPF.

Central Asian Airlines Announces New Routes to Central Europe
ALMATY,
Central Asian Airlines is proud to announce the opening of its latest route to Prague in the Czech Republic. The route will start on 7 September and serve the Central European hub 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). The route will be flown in the airline’s state-of-the-art Boeing 757-200.
The management of Central Asian Airlines is excited about this new route: “connecting Central Asia to Central Europe opens new perspectives, not only for business, but certainly also for tourism. 1 Air Virtual Announces New Hub and Aircraft
Finally after a few weeks of planning and teasing the public, 1 Air had announced the opening of a new hub at Manchester International airport which will allow for the airline to expand on the long haul market with larger aircraft such as there new 767 which has already been placed on a daily MAN-JFK schedule. This move lead the citizens of Bristol to question if the airline was considering leaving Bristol as whole; the airlines VCEO was quick to respond via there facebook page saying ” Bristol will remain the center of operation for our airline but due to runway problems there, an increase number of flights to Manchester will be needed to allow for a larger amount of passengers to fly to the city” It was also noted that the airline are looking at options for new domestic services from Continue reading

Bush and Island Charters was successfully launched in January 2011, initially operating in the Caribbean and Alaska and very quickly expanding into Canada.
Now another step has been taken, this time a big one, to the other side of the world, with the opening of a base in Port Moresby (AYPY) for operations in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
